Sciatica symptoms include any pain that travels down the leg. Due to the broad nature of this condition, sciatica is often times misdiagnosed.

Sciatic pain occurs when there is pressure on the sciatic nerve or the nerves located in the lower back from a herniated disc that causes a shooting pain. The pain may also originate at the hip.

We often times refer patients to get a MRI so we can get a closer look at the lower back that are not visible on an X-Ray. We then proceed accordingly.
